yes its going in the 53 it has a 77 camaro front clip and a narrowed f##d 9"
rear with mickey 31x18.5x15 with 4.56 gears think it should go fairly well
-
Sounds cool, welcome to the crew, i cant answer your question, but i know someone will be around shortly that can
-
thanks hotroddaddy I have a desk top dyno program and those are the numbers it gives me I'm just not sure of the flow numbers for the heads
-
Personally I would advise against using the gear drive.

Welcome to here.
I have talked to several poeple who got tired of the noisy gear drive real quick.

thats what I've heard from a lot of people especially Jim Reid my machinist so I think I might be switching to a double roller anybody see any other problems I'm hoping to fire it off this weekend
-
Welcome to the forum. Yeah, it seems a lot of people don't care for gear drives. Even my machinist says the same thing. I thought the principle was that they were supposed to maintain more accurate timing than a chain setup, but it seems this isn't what people are finding out in the real world.
Very confusing.

yeah I've heard the same but dont understand either anyone have any idea why ??

One of the reasons, and it's a major one, has to do with valve train harmonics. Check with Jimmy, being in the business, he may have a few more very good reasons.
