New to Club Hot Rod
I'm enjoying reading the posts here and looking forward to having time to build a rod for myself. I've been involved in quite a few projects for others.
While I can do all phases of vehicle restoration and customizing, my specialty is wiring. There isn't much I haven't tackled and I enjoy drawing clear wiring diagrams for my fellow rodders. My contributions here will largely focus on things electrical and simplifying how to do it right.
At present my hotrod is a '99 Buell X-1 Lightning. I find it the best of both worlds, Harley power & sound yet stops & steers like a crotch rocket.
I am presently building a new garage and will be moving into it in late December. As a first project, I am considering installing a late model V8 into my 4-banger 2000 Chevrolet S-10, using a Camaro donor car. I'll narrow the rear frame rails and rearend, go to 4 wheel discs. It's a complicated electronics swap, one I have studied on some.
My dream street rod: track roadster, big block, nose drive blower, manual trans, low, wide, black monochromed, very little chrome, lake pipes, amazing AC.
Thanks for the membership!
Jon P
