Hey Don, those are great pics and just what I was looking for. How did you come up with how much to z the frame? Sorry for any stupid questions. Any just frame pics?

Yeah, here are a few of the frame and running gear. It's lways tough determining how much to z one because the amount it drops when you get all the stuff bolted on may be more or less than you thought. We just kind of sat down and figured what we needed to clear the rear axle, and how much we thought the front needed to be to get it level. I hope we hit it, but won't know till all is on it.
We built a mockup out of 2 X 4's first, to get a general idea of what it would look like.
I've got to run, the Coasters are in town , and my Son is their sax man for this show, so I am going to see them, but when I get back, I'll see if I have any more that might help you out.

I build 1/8th scale models. My current project is a hi-boy, which will have a flathead engine from the Big Deuce kit. I joined this site so that I could add some realism to my projects. I am still thinking of a color scheme that would suit it, so any suggestions would be appreciated.Last edited by robjos32; 04-30-2006 at 04:45 PM.

Look at HOTRODPAINT's models on the post " Am I the only one............"
These should give you some inspiration.
