Just found the site. Looks like more time spent at the keyboard! Bought a '64 Studebaker Daytona from CA couple months back and I'm still in the planning stage.
I work as a independent insurance adjuster to pay the bills (OK, go ahead and make jokes, boo, etc.). :p

Nawww I can't boo ya. You guys gave me $1200 for damages to my probably... $2500 car. I though for sure it was gonna get scrapped but thanks to you guys I kept it and got $1200 for repairs! WHOO HOOO!
Now my brother on the other hand.... he got the shaft in the 1st accident but made out ok on the latest one. None were his fault. He's just one of those poor guys in the wrong place at the wrong time with his daily driven 69 1/2 Maverick.
I haven't met a claims adjuster that I have not liked thus far!! KNOCK ON WOOD!! Guess I have been lucky!!

Sreets, never had a problem with State Farm either!! All three of mine are full coverage and stated amount! Get your estamates and really no questions asked! I had a deer total out my 91 s-10 a couple of years back, they paid me right away plus I bought the truck back from them for 300 bucks, new radiator support, door fender and grill, bumper at the local junk yard and it was on its way for hunting/parts hauler!!;)
Thanks for the welcome, guys. An independent usually works for smaller companies that don't enough (or any) claims staff in a given area. While I personally have State Farm, my business is with companies like Great American, Infinity, Leader, Atlanta Casualty, etc. I do look at older cars as well. In the last month I've handled claims on a '27 Chevy truck, a '47 Ford hot rod (a nice 4-dr sedan), a kit car Cobra, a heavily modified '86 Camaro drag car, and a '85 Olds Cutlass Supreme. These cars are interesting and break up the boredom of the evry day car.
