Another new guy
Hi all, I found this forum by searching the net. I have some questions that I hope someone will have the answers to. I have a 62 Vette, a 67 Plymouth Belvedere project, a 71 454 Corvette coupe that I am just finishing up a restoration on and my daily driver 85 GMC stepside pickup that I just put a ZZ4 crate engine in. My wife has a 55 Chevy 210 4 door 6 cylinder. We are looking to convert it to a v8 and I was wondering if anyone knows of a kit to faciliate the swap.
Thanks!
Bart

Welcome to CHR Bart, sounds like a nice fleet you have. Post some pics in your gallery when you have a chance. If you do a google search for conversion parts for the '55 you should be able to come up with something. There's a bunch of chebbie guys on here, someone who has done it would probably be able to tell you everything you need. I've seen tri-fives with side motor mounts instead of the front and bellhousing mounts, not sure who makes them, maybe Art Morrison??? Have fun with the build, and keep us updated on the progress.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
