I was directed to this site by a new internet buddy (weeg). Thanks, Dean!

My current (?) project is a '51 Stude Starlight Coupe. I've posted some pictures of the car. I've built rods all my life, since I was about 14. The problem that I've always experienced is once you tear a car down, you're done for a couple of years, if not longer! Well, I wasn't going to do that with the Stude. I've decided to do some projects, still drive it for a while and have some fun. If it looks like a spotted cat in the meantime...it's my car and to hell with it.

I have another project going on almost simultaneously. It's a '77 Jaguar XJS. Yep, a damned foreign car! BUT...wait a minute, it's running a small block Chevy crate engine with a Chevy 350 trans. That's gotta count for something! It's currently in a friend's shop being painted.

Another project...a 1963 Chris Craft 25 foot cabin cruiser. It's a wooden boat. My wife, late brother-in-law and I have completely gone through it structurally and restored it. It's running an original 283 Chevy engine that's really tired...lots of blow-by. I'm not really that secure in taking friends and family out on the river in something that I don't have complete and total confidence in. So, I'm thinking of building a marined Chevy 400. That should move it through the water.

...then there's the house. It's always begging for attention. As my wife simply says, "At least all of it keeps you out of the bars".
