Check out Fairborn Studebaker for axle shafts. You'll need drum pullers to pull the drums of the axle shafts. You might want to join the Studebaker Drivers Club and get a copy of the Studebaker service manual for your car.
My only suggestion is to replace the OEM wiring harness at the right time. My personal thought is that it looks like a fire waiting to happen.---Tom

I got one of those!! Mine has a narrowed 68 Nova Subframe, Chevy 350/T350, 8 inch Maverick Rear end. My Winter project is to swap the 350 for a 2000 LS1 and 4L60E automatic. You can see pictures of mine in my gallery, click on the camera next to my name, or go to my Yahoo Photos page here:

Or just go to http://photos.yahoo.com/pat_dilling
There are several albums documenting my various projects. If I can be of any assistance, please drop me a note. I am up in Marysville, about 40 Miles North of Sacramento so we are not that far apart. Maybe we can meet up some time.
By the way if you like those yellow valve covers on my 350, they are for sale now, they don't fit the LS1.
Also by the way you can get a complete shop manual on CD from Studebaker International for 19.95. I have one, works great just print the page you need and take it out to the shop.
Glad to know there is yet another Studebaker guy on the forum
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
Today I placed an on-line order for two items, a chicken and an egg. I'll let you know which one comes first!! :HMMM:**)
