    Arrow Just another newbie

    Just another newbie here,
I am building my first ride and need help.
I am totaly lost and will apprecieate any and all advice i can get.

    I have a 1991 chev caprice with a 305 and 209000 miles on it

I know she needs a new heart and am wanting to upgrade.

I am not looking for a warp speed b body just something faster than what i have i would prefur better off the line but i know that has a lot to do with the gears and tranny. I am starting however with the motor.

What kind of advice do you sugjest while keeping the 305....

Instead of rebuilding that 305 you can have a chevy 350 crate motor put in for cheaper probably and have more power. This is my suggestion... Any idea on what rear gears, tranny you have? We need more info here to help you out. But if you absolutely have to keep that 305 and don't want to rebuild it yet then first thing is headers and dual exhaust. After that and intake manifold and Edelbrock or Holley 600CFM carb would do... Unless it's TBI.
That right there is a start. Not too much you can do to a stock 305 with all those miles on it...
