Hi fellers (and ladies too, if any )

New to the group and makin myself known

I've been hot rodding since 1970, when I started fixing up my dad's old car. It was a 34 Ford 5-window that he bought for 100$ in 1958. After I fixed it up, he let it set in his garage for 30 years, then finally 'sold' it to me. It's 'family', so it'll be here a while..

'34 Details: Black fenders and top, Corvette yellow body. '36 flathead, bored and stroked with an aluminum flywheel & 3/4 race cam. Juice brakes and wire wheels. 12v electricals, new Mallory dual-point (best move ever made to make it run better).

My 'first car' was a 1950 Ford Crestliner with a '64 Falcon Sprint drivetrain (260ci motor with a 4-spd and 8" rearend).. drove the car for 8 years and have been building it since (other things have interferred, ya know how it is ) It currently has a bored 396 Chev in it and my goal is for it to be my 'road car'..OD trans, Big Block power, a/c, cruise, good sounds, etc..if I want to jump in it and cruise to CA..something breaks, I want to find the part at Autozone, ya know?

Current stable includes a 1964 Buick Skylark (just like my grandaddy had) with the 300ci aluminum-headed nailhead motor. good running machine, just needs a paint job & tlc..oh, and it's for sale..because...

I just got married (no.2) after being divorced for 21 years, and on our honeymoon, we spotted a clean 1955 Ford Fairlane Town Sedan, in (of all places) Mayberry..(ok, it's Mt. Airy, NC)..we checked it out, the price was right, so we went home and got the trailer and bought it. It's a 1 owner, 56K miles and neat.

I guess that's the short intro so, I'll get out of here for now...

anybody want to buy a Buick??
