canadianal---Snow? You didn't even get our usual two months of poor skiing, did ya?
Red, attempts at humour aside, welcome to the site. Maybe you can civilise some of these guys. Oops, sorry, another attempt.
Welcome Red. The other women who contribute their views and questions here really do add a lot to the general culture of the site. Is the color of your truck "bluecherrie" a special paint or was it an optional factory color? I am not sure I would pick that color but with a lady driving it would make sense. Back in the '50s I knew a guy who installed an Olds V8 in a '40 Plymouth convertible (not an easy swap) and had a paint shop whip up a special color he called "Hot Rod Fuschia", but it was a lighter shade than your truck, his color was closer to "orchid" but anyway it was a real performer with a fancy color.

Welcome to Club HotRod Red!! Hope you enjoy the site and come back often. Real nice '58, is that the color you want to paint it?
Larry M.

Actually, the truck is a bright ass Corvette yellow that I hate. That's a sucky photoshop color job done to the truck. So no, it isn't that color. *guess I need to change the pic*
But, yes, I do want to paint it something similar. Ive tossed around many colors that I want, and ultimately I want to do something between fuschia and pink. I can hear it already *gag spew heaavvveeee!*
And NNnnnooo.. i's not a trailer queen. But when it was passed to me, the truck didn't run. Hence the tow truck...
Just askin', redheads are just tooooooooo cool. For all I know "Red" might be a contraction for your surname Rednowski :LOL:Quote:

Hey red, im drg84 AKA Dave. I dunno what my job is here, i think its mostly opinion, computer tech, and the few and far between oldsmobile/AMC question.:) As for the truck, looks like a very solid body. Should be a nice looking truck when its done;)
Working on the wife's dodge gave me extra freedom to play with colors I would not have otherwise chosen.. 'Twas an 86 dodge diplomat, former cop car which I bought with the cage and spotlight still on it, for use as a taxi. Well, after a couple years, it got demoted to private use, and over the ten years we had it, saw half a dozen different colors to include: burgandy, dark blue, light blue, red. The motor is where I really had some fun. Painted that 318 dark purple and Mary Kay pink. Really looked sharp.
Hey Red, Welcome to CHR! Like Angel said, it's good to have another gal on the forum to keep these guys in line...lol. I'm female, live in Michigan, been a mom and a wife all my adult life...have middle age crisis and am learing to tear apart a car, but i'm not sure about putting it back together yet lol. I have two 81 Trans Ams in my barn and a 78 on the way with a 455 stuffed in the trunk...
There's one other gal on here besides HotRodAngel and I that shows up semi regularly to check in...Jazzstorm...she's got a great lil mustang that she just finished. You'll like this forum...the best i've been on. Clean, family oriented, great wisdom & experience. Glad to have you here.
Jeri :D
