hey people. my name is Carl and i live in Nor Cal. i am a long time vw guy. i got into rods when i was a littlekid from my grandfather and into vw's from my mother. my current projects are a 74 bug curcuit car, a 29 chevy coupe which will be kept in its patina'd stage and my latest aquisition a 1941 chevy pickup which i intend to rat out. i love both of my hobbies, but vw people get butt hurt when you try to mix rod with v-dubb, so im here now lokkn to learn from the best. a local guy here does mix rods and dubbs and creates some pretty trick cars. one is a slammed and hacked 63 bug that is "dubbed" "The Rat Patrol" complete with ratfink on the door siren and police scanner. The other Vehicle is a 34 Ford pickup with a custom hand made frame and suspension and is powered by a mid placed porsche engine. (see pics below) anyway im glad to be here and hope to hear what you think of these projects. the volksrodders motto is "pissing off purists since day one"
