New old guy checking in
Just registered, thought I better introduce myself.
My name is Mickey Ellis, Older than dirt, and I live in a small town in northern Utah.
Been messing with cars since the fifties.
My real interest is in the history of hotrodding, and I collect alot of memorabilia. (magazines, hot rod movie stuff, toys, early lakes racing stuff and any old stuff I can dig up)
My current car is a '32 Ford roadster pickup. I'll try to post a photo.
It has a Gibbon body and front fenders, Deuce Factory chassis, (its been built for 11 years) handbuilt pickup bed, original grille shell, rear fenders, and 32 passenger car gas tank.
I will probably lurk mostly but will jump in if I can be of any help.
Thanks,
Mick

Thanks Dave, this looks like a great forum and I think I'll fit in just fine, I see a few familiar faces from the RRT and HAMB.
I'll post a pic of the rear of my rpu to show the Chris Boggess built bed & tailgate and the stock placement of the passenger car gas tank, gives the truck a little different look.
Thanks again for the compliment!

The stock tank really looks great on the back!! Haven't seen many done like that, and none quite that nicely done. Congrats.

Welcome Mick, very nice piece of work, besides the tank, I also like the V8 on the tail gate. I'm an old gear head, so I got to ask what the drive train is.

Hi Mike, sorry, nothing too groundshaking in the drivetrain department. Just the typical 350 Chev, 700R trans and 9" Ford rear. It runs 3:25 gears with 29" tires so it is a great road car.
