Honda guy turned Muscle Guy. *with ?'s*
Ok so I am a avid Honda Fan. I own one with a basic swap and a 75hp shot of nitrous it has ran 12.9. Cost me around 4K with car and everything and back up a 12.9 run 4 times.
Well anyways. Time to get rid of it. And I think I want to to do old school muscle. I want a 60's Nova II. But I have some questions.
My Goals witht he Car.
Lift the front wheel's off the ground.(j/k but would be nice)
I want Mid 11's consistent. 11.3's-11.7's.
I want to run these Times on Drag Radials. Not ET Streets.
I would like to cut 60's to 1.7-1.8's. (On Drag Radials)
Now can this be had with a 327 and full Interior on the car. Or should I step up to something bigger?. Am I asking to much out of a 327?.
What would you guys suggest. I know a 327 can be built to shit and hell I could do a 11 on a 305 however I don't want to build the motor to nuts. I would just rather step up to a bigger motor. (More potential down the road with bigger motor. No replacement for displacement).
I don't want to gut the interior of the car I want a full interior and be able to run it on street tires (Drag Radials) Instead of a slick. I have driven with slicks on the streets before. Not fun. Specially with FWD.
But these are some questions I have about a future family project that may take place within the next 6 months.
Oh and if any Honda fans. Here is the car.
89 Civic Hatch. B16 Stock Bottom End, Stock Head. 75hp Wet Shot. Car went 12.92 @ 108.9mph.

Well I don't have all your answers, but. That 327 is sweet. A big bore and small stroke. This engine set up the same way as a 350 will beat it everytime. IMO the 327 is the best SBC. The only engine I like better is a BBC 396. Either one you can make lots of power. Good luckChevys for life
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
