hey i'm new
Hi everyone,
Well this site is awesome! I just found it about a week ago and I've been reading everything i can. My name is Mike and im from Napa CA. I'm 19 years old and i have a 1958 Chevrolet Apache 3100 fleetside. It has the stock 283 and a four on the floor with granny low 1st. Its a little rusty because up until about a year ago it was sitting in a field at my grandparents house. It has very littleheavy rust most is just surface, i'm in the process of sanding and primering it now. I'm glad I found this site. It's really cool!

Welcome 58,
I'm dealing with rust too.
Harbor Freight has a neat little siphon sand blaster that's great for the heavy metal underneath. Its time consuming but does a good job.

Welcome '58, good to see more young guys getting involved with vintage iron !!!!!
Rust??? We all have to deal with rust. This body will come apart, get blasted with the appropriate media (not sanblasted), then tigged together before the real mods began. Hopefully I will still be able to get going on it in this lifetime!!!!
