just joined here so i suppose i'm required to introduce myself..found this place via google and a link there regarding a 36 stude coupe [i have one].

i'm 39, originally from poland [in us since 1980]..previously i cared more about bikes than cages, especially hd and i had a highly modified sportster while i was in the navy in the mid-80s, but had to change my passion into 4wheels after breaking my neck in 1990.

i am an unemployed quadriplegic, and i can barely afford to keep my daily driver [68 olds cutlass modified somewhat]on the road off my meager disability income but i manage somehow because driving it hard is the only thing keeping me sane and forgetful about a really bad chronic pain and other problems stemming from my disability.
i have photos of both of my rides in my gallery here if anyone wants to take a looksee..i'm attaching one of those photos here of me and my cutlass...

i 've been living in northern new jersey since becoming a crip because that's where my parents moved into just prior to my accident and i needed their help post my disability. previously i lived in nyc, rhode island and virginia. joysie sucks btw as far as laws go and drivers..

mydaily ride is a '68 oldsmobile cutlass s with a modified 350 rocket, modified th400, 10bolt posi w/3.73 gears. headers/duals..it sounds and rides great and i drive the crap out of it and hard - the way these cars are meant to be driven. it's not a show car or a garage queen but despite its 'character' marks like badly pitted chrome, some chips all over and well used interior i get thumbs up and compliments on it every single day i'm on the asphalt..

i also have a rodded'36 stude dictator 3 window coupe that's been mine since '96 but i lack the funds to upgrade it to driving and lawful standards of nj so my poor baby has been parked at my parents' house driveway for the past 9 years. she's one of tthe most beautiful coupes ever made in my opinion and has a modified gm 400 small block [torker2/holley combo hidden in a fake blower case], crane fireball cam, hei ignition/coil, headers/dual, mustang2 ifs, r&p steering [manual], power disc brakes all around, modified th350/shift kit, 12 bolt posi w/3.73 gears. i start it every month and once or twice a year take her for a spin around a block..

sheeesh, i guess that's plenty gab for an intro.. ;-)))))))
