Hello! New member from Idaho.
Hey everybody. Here's a pic of my '53 F-100. I got it about 12 years ago when I was in high school and have worked on it off and on, but finally decided to just finish it up last summer. The tranny is currently out of it getting a rebuild. It is a total frame off rebuild. It has a Currie Ent. prepped and narrowed 9 in rear, TCI 4-bar rear suspension, Volare front clip, Custom Stainless steel gas tank, shaved door handles, custom rear roll pan, Centerline rims..... List goes on.Last edited by 53fatfndr; 06-07-2006 at 10:43 AM.

Here's a picture of my engine bay. I spent lots of hours on this area last summer. I love my cleaned up firewall with my treadbrite overlay. The engine is a '71 400 Ford (402ci actual) that is bored to 410 ci. It has about 9.5"1 compression, .510, .536 lift, 292 int 302 exh duration SVO cam, Sanderson headers, weiand intake, 1.7 ratio roller rockers, full MSD ignition..... lots of good stuff. Desktop dyno has it at about 350+ HP and 400+ ftlbs of torque.Last edited by 53fatfndr; 06-07-2006 at 10:43 AM.

Very nice Effie, '53. Welcome to CHR, hope you have a good time here. Duane will be around soon, I'm sure. He has a flip front Effie too!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
