I'm new to this board and just wanted to stop quick and say hey. I'm kinda bummed out cause I missed out on a t bucket today. It was I beleive a 27 kit peice with a 302 c-6 and a 10 bolt rear with a glass tub for $1500 gosh I wish I would have jumped on that when I had the chance!
Welcome to the boards!!! Yeah sounds like you missed out big time... Don't worry, there is a late 40's to early 50's chevy around here that has been sitting in front of an old house here for years and I was going to go look at it yesterday and see if the guy wanted to sell it (this thing needed lots of work) and now today all of a sudden it's gone.... Kind of weird to because it has been there for years and I didn't get a chance to go yesterday and I was going to go today. I am thinking the old guy just gave it away. Looks like I missed out. :(
I just cant believe that I walked away from this one. All that had to be done was the front and and the steering. That's it, motor, tranny, driveshaft all done. Well It still needed paint though. I wonder how long I'll be looking for one now. I fell in love with that bucket in just a few minutes.**)
Man, that makes me wanna cry haha. I would LOVE a T bucket and I plan to own one one day in my life. I always talk about how I wan't to get all these cars and trucks, etc that I see around here and fix them up one day and I always am wanting to hurry up and get them (mostly because I am afraid they will get really bad shape soon or someone else like me will come get them) and then I realize.... I have a lot of years ahead of me to find the same cars and get a better deal probably if I just wait and in better shape so no need to rush. Maybe it was meant to be though, who knows. I did see a gloss black T bucket with double weabers (sp) and looked to be a 350 or so with a blower and all and a really younge guy (looked to be like 20 or so) and a little baby or kid was in it. Man it was sweet. I hear there is some kid around here that has one too and I am thinking it was him. There are about 3 around here I see sometimes now and they are all very nice. They just make me want to hurry and get one (see there I go again haha)
That sounds like a really good deal, I never heard something like that, there must have been something wrong with it. Did it run and everything or what?
man I hear you I can't count how many time I didn't jump on a good bye I remember had a chance to buy a 69 chevell big block car had the money in hand but exwife wanted this dam dog well the money did not get the car exwife now gone but still got the dog I would like you to my dog chevell I'll bet you will never guess how he got his name:LOL: :LOL: :LOL: :LOL:
Haha, John I feel for you on the Chevelle. My dad and I were looking at a 4 door chevelle and it was all original and still had the sticker on the window from the dealer. The guy wanted 5500 which was a ok price for it. The paint and everything was like new still, etc and engine didn't have barely much miles on it at all for a old car. My dad said he would give the guy 3000 for it lol. The guy said no, my dad said no higher. A few weeks later he called, went down to 5000 and my dad said nope. A few weeks later the guy said 4000, and again... nope. AGAIN a few weeks later the guy said 3500 and my dad said.... NOPE. Now the guy took it and kept it I guess. haha Now me and my dad wished we would have gotten it. I talked my dad out of getting it because it was a four door and now I need a car to drive and can only spend around 3500 bucks hahaha.
