I have been an import guy the entire 20 years I've been driving. I've spent thousands of dollars souping up a series of RX-7s, the only cars I've owned for years. It's been fun, rewarding, and very educational. However, after buying my first ever V8 last week ('93 Corvette with a 383 stroker), I'm not sure I can ever go back. I guess I've unexpectedly joined the ranks of disillusioned import owners... with a bunch of metric tools I don't have much use for anymore.

That doesn't mean I'm trading in my Honda CBR600 for a Harley, though.

Hello, all. I'm sure you'll hear from me again... hell, it's been years since I worked on an engine with pistons and valves, let alone a V8.

Welcome to CHR Kelley. You're not the first convert we've had on the site, and hopefully not the last who will make the switch back to V8's. By the way, rode one of the 600 crotch rockets last summer, they are bullet fast !!! Oh yeah, when you are ready for that Harley, better sell the Honda outright the Harley dealer won't give you much on trade in !!!! Hope you enjoy your time here.

Welcome aboard. Come on up to Canada to live---we went metric (kinda/sorta) back in 76 and now we need both kinds of tools to work on anything.

Thanks for the welcome, gents. And yes, the CBR600 is like riding a rocket sled from hell. The second day I owned it, I had it up to 155. Going that fast on two wheels is quite a feeling. So is crapping your pants on two wheels.

Haven't tried taking the 'Vette up to that kind of speed yet, but I don't have much doubt it'll do it.
