Cool project you have going there. I'm working on my 66 Chevy II, it also has the orginal 194 with pwrglide transmission.
I'm still torn between keeping the original engine or replacing it with something else. I like the idea of swapping engines but not sure how much modifications and cost are involved. On the other hand, there are not too many 194's around..and I'm not building a hot rod so it will probably be good enough for around town driving. With the cost of gas going up, I don't think that dropping in a big V8 would be very economical.
