noooob
Just thought I would say hello to everyone. I recently was given an all original '72 nova w/a 307, A/C and PS. only 62k on it. the car is currently in AZ and will be transported up here shortly. It was driven by an elderly lady so there is some body damage, but no rust.
I've been an import guy for the past 5 yrs or so, so I have a lot to relearn about this car.
here's a pic of the car:

Welcome aboard doc. Looks like a pretty good score.
If you don't already have a buddy in the boby repair biz you should make one. Unless the angle of the pic is foolin' my old eyes you're gonna need to have that left rear pulled. Probably find a pretty good kink in the left quarter and the trunk floor. Depending on how the pull goes you might even have to replace the left rear "rail". But as you say, you're not dealing with a rust bucket, which is a good thing.

thanks for the words, bob. there's far worse than the pass rear quarter:

there's all the pix i have of it....

Welcome to the forum, looks like a pretty neat chebbie project you found yourself. Have fun.

heh. it very well could be that car... ;)

Well, now that quarter doesn't look quite as bad with the direct picture, shouldn't be any rail damage with the hit being as high as it is. Probably still going to need a slight pull to bring it back out where it needs to be and to bring that rear body panel into line. That door skin will probably be better than it looks now once it's roughed out. Still a good deal.

one question i had is what is this car worth fully restrored?

FYI, here is a nice one from EBAY that is selling for $6100. It is a
71.

EBAY RESULTS (not asking prices) might give a good cross section of the entire country.

good input. from what i'm gathering there's no point in trying to keep it all original since the car will never really hold any serious value...bring on the mods! ;)

Oh yeah!
Hey, that Nova will be really sharp...isn't it funny how these cars...(my grandmother had a chevelle)...are typically driven by 80 year olds...an they look like that...then somebody like you gets ahold of it...and whew...imagine the possibilities...;)

Great starting point for a project. There are so many parts and combinations available for these cars, you should have a ball!
