hey guys, I am a new guy here. I am mainly on VWVortex.com, the mostly watercooled VW forum, and also Thesamba.com, the aircooled VW forum. I happened upon this forum while searching on google, and decided to check it out.

heres a little bit about me:

I am 18 years old, I currently own a 69 rat style vw beetle, but my main project is my 1989 VW GTi, its color is one of only 280 ever imported into the states, only in 1989, and only available on the 16v gti of that year. Its pretty much the rarest in the country.....I am going to complete it in time for waterfest 05, a liquid-coooled vw show in englishtown, NJ.

Ever since I was born, my dad had always had way too many cars around. They ranged from corvettes to 911's to studebakers to Nashes, etc. Recently, He and I restored a 1964 Chrysler Newport 9 passebger station wagon. He just bought a fully beefed up 413 to swap into it, which should give more grunt than the 361 it has now.

Another current project of his right now is bringing a 1959 edsel ranger back to life. A while ago it had a ford 428 cobrajet swapped in, and sat at the P.O.'s house for about 5 years outside. It needs help! It runs and drives, but needs to be compounded and buffed, and a full interior resto. It sounds so baaaaaaaaaad on startup, it shakes the gorund. After all, this engine was completely torn down and built up with higher compression and stronger bottom end internals.

my pops also has a 59 vette, 48 chevy fleetmaster convertible, 62 falcon, muntz road jet, and a nash metropolitan. The vette, muntz, and chrysler wagon are the only fully restores beasts at the moment.

I am currently looking to probably sell my bug and try and find something between 1940 and 1960, preferably a cadillac. I want to drop it, probably chop it, and paint it flat black, etc. All i need is to find a cheap yet solid example.....

I am gonna try and upload some pics of the beats later, i'll see if i have time.
