From what i've heard the only trucks that really fit S-Series chassis well are 47-54 trucks. I think the Apache's are wider and the s-series frames are a little too narrow for a good fit, i'm also pretty sure that there is a larger wheel base difference with the 1960's trucks too. The reg cab s-series chassis has a 108.3" wheelbase while the ext. cab/long bed has a 117.4" wb, the swb 47-54 truck has a 116" wheelbase while the lwb 3/4 ton has a 124" wb.
