Well, just thought I'd introduce myself. Hello.

My current "rods" are a 1994 S-10, and a 1973 Datsun 240z.

Oddly enough, my s-10 is more of a hotrod. It's got an LT1 out of a 94 vette, and a 700r4 out of an early 90's f-body. Many things done to the looks, but it is definatly more of a rod than a new style show truck. It's got American Racing Torque thrust wheels, two tone paint, a mild lowering job, and mono-chrome styling.

The Datsun is ALL stock. I believe everything is original except the paint. It's factory orange, w/ black interior, and a 4 speed.

The reason I began looking for this site, is I have currently got the idea in my head that I want to build an early chevy p/u rat rod. Something pre '36. However, I don't have alot of skills, and I don't really know what is normally done to these older vehicles to make them road worthy and half-way daily driveable. I'm here to learn, and to shop.

The idea is to try to sell the datsun, and put the money towards the rod, while keeping my truck to daily drive long enough to get the rod built and be able to turn the truck into a week-end track truck.
