Hey I Was Wondering If Anybody Can Help Me I Got A 1985 Chevy C10 Pickup With A blown Motor And I Also Got A 1968 Mopar 383 BigBlock that i Rebuilt And I Dont Wanna Buy A Chevy motor Is There Any Conversion Motor Mount Brackets I Can Buy So I Can Put The Mopar Motor In That Chevy Or Can Some One Give Me Any Good Idea On How To make It Fit In With Out Welding New Brackets To The Frame

Don't know nobody that ever did that Prosto, but if I wanted to I would, but I'm sure its gonna take some fabrication to do it.
I put a 383 in my 66 chevy c10. it was the easiest engine swap i've ever done. I installed a tube over the bolt in the mopar mount, and after swaping the chevy mount perches from side to side all i had to do was place the motor - tack the tubes to the perches - unbolt -pull motor - finish welding the tubes - and reinstall engine. It took me about 2 hours to get it mounted in place. If I remember correctly the only clearance issue I had was with the starter, I had to put a small notch in the frame. It might have been the exhaust but I'm pretty sure it was the starter for some reason.
That was about 15 years ago. That 383 really woke up that old pickup. Now I am putting the exact same engine and tranny into my courier. I managed to reaquire the 383 and tranny about 6 years ago from the guy I sold the truck to. So it's been in storage for quite awhile and I just started tearing it down for a rebuild with a stroker crank. The 383 has always been my favorite engine. of course it will really be a 426 wedge when I get it done with it this time.
Well i have both a 440 truck and a 350 s10. We have had this discussion prior on the www.v8s10.org site. I think the steering problem is the culprit to overcome.
You could always see if some mopar fan would like to swap you a chevy motor for that 383. I have 350/350hp in a mopar and if I weren't 1000 miles away I would certainly entertain making an offer.:3dSMILE:
