This kind of points out how difficult it can be to research some of the less popular makes/vehicles. While the internet can be a BIg help it can also cloud the questions you may have.
There are no restrictions on who posts what to any site, and in many cases while the information is entered in good faith there is no guarantee that it is correct. A good example are the stories of a factory installed Hemi in any 50's Plymouth. Many have claimed to have had or seen one but to date no proof exists that they ever existed.
I'm currently running into a similar situation trying to research the 76 Dodge True Spirit Big Block short bed truck I picked up. I've seen 1 reference that it was one of approximately 200 made. This tidbit appeared on what seems to be a pretty well researched site (and admittedly I do want to believe it ). Before I do say that it is true however I'm going to need a bit more information. All I know at this point is that by running the numbers it is a real factory BB truck.
I've been around the hobby for many many years and have seen a lot of cars hyped as something they really weren't. This tends to lead to a healthy streak of cynicism.
Good luck in your search for information, and if you do come across the information again, let us know.
