1928 REO Coupe
My uncle is having health issues, and is trying to sell his street rod. It has a Chevy 350/Turbo 350. Mustang II frond end. Functional rumble seat. It was painted in 2015. I’ve seen the car several times and ridden in it once. Everything is finished, functional, and it drives good. The car is in Westphalia, Michigan.
He is asking $35,000
What do you guys think is a realistic value for it?
If anyone has any questions, I can get you more details and/or give you my uncles contact info.

I'm not going to say that the REO Coupe isn't worth $35K but I believe that he will have to find the right guy that wants something "different" to get that kind of money. The market is shrinking, and prices are falling as the age of the buying group edges up. He's got a "monochrome" look going by painting the headlight bar, the cowl light bases, and blacking out the door handles which some might prefer to see shiny. The realistic value is going to be the $$$ that someone is willing to hand over at the time he decides it has to be gone. My opinion is that he will be lucky to get $25K, but what do I know?

Yes, what he said. The days of 30 plus are over I believe. I was going to say he'd be lucky to get 20 maybe 22 K, it's not a deuce coupe, so you'll need someone who wants to be different. And that's my opinion... which if you have two bucks you can get a coffee!

Thanks guys. That’s right around what I was thinking. It’s a clean, but low budget car.
On a happy note, yesterday he sold the car to his daughter and son in law, my cousin. Now the car will get taken care of, and my uncle will still get to ride in it from time to time. He has Parkinson’s disease. I had planned to take him for a spin in my T Bucket this summer, but the Corona thing has killed that opportunity. Hopefully next year that will happen.

Sorry to hear of your uncle's situation. Parkinson's sucks. I've lost 2 uncles from it. I'm glad to see his car was able to stay in the family and he may still get to be around it!
