1979 Jaguar XJS, 355/350 swapped, lots of pics
Well, sadly, I need to sell my 1979 Jaguar XJS. It has less than 2300 miles on everything. It has a rebuilt 350 bored to a 355. New street dominator intake and holley 650 carb. Most everything on the car is new to be honest. The tranny is a turbo 350 with a mild shift kit. The interior has been redone in the factory bone leather. It has all VDO gauges that need to be finished. I have not gotten around to making a dash panel for them. They work and for some may be good enough how they are. The car has a fuel cell in the trunk. A new stereo that you can hook an ipod up to. It has a 4 channel amp with components in the front doors, 5 1/4's in the stock placement in the rear and a 12" bazooka in the trunk. Tires are new, rear was swapped out when the swap was done. Correct springs were installed for the weight difference with the chevy powertrain. The car hooks and drives nice. Could use an alignment. Almost everything on the car is done. It was painted about 2 months ago with a black basecoat, a multi metallic mid coat and then topped with ppg clear. It still needs to be wetsanded but the car is a 5 footer as it sits now. I get compliments on the car everywhere and it draws ALOT of attention. Not a car for somebody who doesn't like to talk about their vehicles. The car is loud, it has headers, running through bombs exiting in front of the rear tires. I'm sure I'm forgetting alot of stuff but all the basics apply, power steering, windows, locks etc. It's great now but a weekend of work would make it awesome. I was going to install the chrome bumper overlays and wheel mouldings but I haven't gotten around to ordering those. Looks just fine without them though. Let me know if you have any other questions and we can go from there. Thanks for looking
Before paint the car was appraised by the previous owner for 7500-12500
I'm going to ask 7500 and I will consider almost anything. I need some cash out of it but I wouldn't mind a partial trade. Of course trade value is dependent on actual value and not the cheap price I'm asking. These cars with a good swap command a pretty good sum. Thanks and all offers considered. Don't be afraid to low ball me. I've sold things cheap in the past just because I liked the guy

Great update, Mike! I adhere to Clint Eastwood's philosophy on aging, "Don't let the old man in!" Once in he's hard to evict. Thanks for keeping us involved with your projects!
