Well, I think I need to get rid of this car. Actually I know I do. Let me tell you about it. It is a white Mercedes 450 SEL. It is a pre-cat car, so it doesn't have to worry with that problem, nor needing it removed. It has 81,000+ miles on it now... all original. It came with a fuel injected gas V8. 4.5 liter. All of the plastic lenses are still intact. The body is beautiful. Does have a little bit of rust in the rockers.... not very much at all. Has a couple of spots of skin cancer where it got scratched. The interior is past the point of needing TLC.... It needs the dump. It ought to have a new interior in it. I don't think a new wiring harness would hurt it either, and might actually be a necessity. It may well cure some of the weird little electrical phantoms around on it. The car got left to set for a while by a guy who wasn't really into fixing things, so after I got it, it was green. I put a lot of work into making this car look good. It still has every piece of trim still there on it. All the hub caps, all the chrome, all the rubber. I got the engine pretty much back running, providid you kept pouring gas down its goozle. I tracked down the problem as the fuel pump, so I ripped it out and rebuilt it. It is setting with a new filter and connector hoses in the garage waiting for a dry day to install it again. The car has some interesting stuff on it, like an IRS that might could be used on a rod if someone was so inclined to distroy this piece of vintage autombilia.

What this car needs for sure:
new interior
body work on the rocker panels
a good tune up
probably a new wiring harness
someone who has time and money to spend on it
a good going over by someone who works on Mercedes products
a new windshield (old one is cracked pretty bad)
another good cleaning (I'll throw this one in if someone buys it)

This car basically could use a restoration. It would be an ideal light restoration project. Extremely low miles, good mechanical and structrual shape. It seems to me like someone looking for a family/ father son project would be a perfect home for this car. It is just too nice of a car to let see go to the crusher, which is where it might be headed if I can't get it gone. If no one wants to restore it, there are plenty of good parts that would be nice in a rod if someone felt so inclined to make one like that.

I really need to get $1500 out of it. Oh, and it also has a CLEAR TITLE that I can get signed over immediately upon sale. The car is located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, ~25 miles from Knoxville, and easily accessed from I-40. Someone please buy this nice car.
