New ground with a '49
I'm breaking some post-'48 ground with my '49 Ford Tudor. Using mostly parts from a '89 Towncar and a V8 Maverick, in the process of being painted in semi-gloss black, it makes a great shoebox rod (ratbox?). Including all the ebay and bone yard parts, over 59 different cars have given part of themselves so my car can live! Especially love all the people who keep asking "When are you going to paint it a real color??" Lets see more of the post '48s!
Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
