Also, I forgot to add that it's a 1936 Buick, I believe it's a series 60, but I'm not sure..... I can't wait to get the straight 8 fired up.
Let me know what you guys think of it!
I think it's awsome, would make a nice hotrod, specially with that str8 8, It looks in good shape too.
EXCELLENT Photochop material!!!! Nice score! Now get working.
 Your right..........I haven't seen one of those in a looooonnnnnnnngggggg time!! What kind of material did you use to tie the doors shut??? It's been a while**)
:3dSMILE: Just messing with ya........Very cool Buick, what the story on her.
Noooooooo..... Don't photochop it... Unless you do something good :D
And the body is pretty straight, The bottom of all 4 doors are rotten (about the bottom 1"), and the entire floor pan needs replaced, but It should just take a couple sheets of 16 guage steel. After that, and a couple more patches areound the back bumper, it will be ready for a skim coat of Z-grip, and a good paint job :) (I know there is tons more inbetween that.....)
Can't wait to drive it for the first time, I'm going to have to get a big cigar, a pin striped ganster suit, and a tommy gun :D

I honestly don't know much.... I bought it off of a guy who at one time have 300+ antique cars around his house, then he got cancer (to put it lightly.....), and he said he bought it for $2000, and I'm guessing had it parked under a shed with about 30 other cars when I bought it, and it was sitting there for about 15 years I think. And I bought it for $2500. That's about all that I know..... He didn't know any history on it either, he just bought it to collect.
A picture of it's hump back :p
Nice looking Buick. You don't often see them with a good grille and parking lights. The headlight rims are 54 Chevy items.
I didn't know what the beuty rings came off of, but they looke better than nothing. Maybe a set of 39 chevy one's that I have laying around will fit better, if not I'll try and find some NOS ones.
Anyone notice the Dodge tail lights?
We got the original straight 8 running and WOW, that is the first time I have ever heard a straight 8 run, and it sounded really good for a car made in 36..... Ran better than my RX-7 that I sold to buy it to! :D
We have a 37 buick... didnt the 36 have some wood in it. That straight 8 is a total beast. Good Luck and great car
Right on... If you need some links to find parts for that motor you oughtta check out...Quote:

Found the link from a helpful subscriber to the new Rat Rod mag.
I checked it out and they have a TON of links for GM and Ford str8s' but hardly anything for the Dodge Chrysler blocks.
Oh well looks like I'm having to rummage the implement suppliers for parts. :HMMM:
By the way don't chop that top. Not unless you put a substantial forward rake in it anyway.:p
My father inlaw collects the straight 8,s shoot I think he has 4 or 5 of them not including the ones in his 48 and 49 buicks they are cool to watch run and how far down they can idle and how smooth they run at rev hope you keep that straight 8 in that 36
