Well, there are several schools of thought on this. I think it's great to keep them original, but reality is, people have been modifiying cars since the first one was bolted together. Folks sometimes take a car right off the show room and start making changes. Finding a car like yours is almost impossible these days, they have either been restored or hot rodded or somewhere in between, not many true survivors. I think all varieties are great and have no problem admiring any of them. For my personal cars, I like to improve and personalize them. My '53 for example has almost nothing original on it, and even the original pieces have been tinkered with.
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
