Im planning on chopping the top of my 86 Isuzu P'up, and I wanted to know if there are any good shops in FL/GA to deal with getting the windshield cut down and custom side glass? I dont need rear glass cuz its tiny as it is and im gonna cut out the window frame and drop it down 3 in or so. thanks in advance.

The windshield is that glass that don't shatter ( can't remember the name ) and I don't belive it's cuttable without breaking, maby I'm wrong but, I'm pretty shure you cannot cut it.

the windshield is layered glass (glass,plastic,glass) , i know it can be cut. the side glass cant be cut cuz its tempered, so i need custom glass made for it

Just wondering why you need new side glass?
I've done 3 (64 fury 69 dart & 72(I think) chevy luv) but never had to change the side glass of course these all had flat glass.
Cutting the windshield should be no problem for any good glass shop
one thing to note is old windshields cut better than new ones
on the luv we cut 3 new PPG windshields at 140 bucks each and they all ran bought 1 used at the junkyard for 40 bucks and it worked the first time the other 2 cars were both used windows and they cut the first time

i thought when the pillars are sectioned, the side windows get wider and shorter. the way im gonna chop mine is to cut the top into quarters, take 3, 3.5 inches out of the back pillars, however much out of the a-pillars to level out the roof, and make fillers for the gaps.
ive heard of just leaning back the windshield, but i think it would look goofy on a mini-truck

oh, im gonna double check my side glass, if its relatively flat i can just have a glass shop make me new ones right?

Unless the window moves foreward when you roll it down you can use the same windows they just don't roll up all the way.
Yes a glass shop can make them if they are flat...... Old Castle Glass in LA Ca can make new curved ones but they are pricey

If you want to keep the same stock look only shorter take the same amount out all the way around and make sure that you take the piece out of the a piller off the TOP not in the middle because of the curve of the glass

Also get your windows cut FIRST then build the top around them you can change the shape of the sheet metal but not the glass

I know of 2 guys that finished their chops with out the glass (clear down to the paint) and when the went to put the windshields in they didn't fit ......... oops!!!!!!!!
