Who's going to Hot August Nights in Reno?

I figure with 5000 cars registered, there ought to be a couple of CHR folks there. I was not able to get registered this year, but we are driving the Studebaker up on Thursday anyway. We are staying at the Quality Inn on South Virginia St about 2 miles South of downtown. We'll be cruising around and I think we will be able to get into the Atlantis Show & Shine. If ya see our bright red Studie, flag us down and say hi! License plate is STU COOL, just like the avatar on the left

My parents live in Winnemucca NV. now, and for the last few years, I've gone down there for the 50's fever car show and street drags the week before Hot August nights and then head on down to Reno the next week for the swap meet and car show. I haven't registered in Reno for a few years now (just too many people for me) and I didn't register this year either; but, I was planning on at least going down to the swap meet, although I don't know if I'll actually make it this year.

My wife is actually reall cool about this stuff; but, after the Good Guys Pacific Northwest Nationals and Drag races this last weekend, and the NHRA Northwest Nats this coming weekend and then 50's Fever the following weekend in Winnemucca, her patience may be a little too thin for Hot August Nights the week after that. This is the first year in a long time that things have lined up just right so that I could actually hit them all. It just so happens that it works out to be every weekend for 4 weeks......Anyway, I figured, I would wait to spring the Hot August Nights idea on her until after 50's fever is about over......I'll be better able to predict what her reaction will be that way.....Although, she's pretty smart, so she probably already knows what's coming anyway....heheh.

Anyway, I hope to make it and I hope you enjoy it. I normally do.
