Figured it would be interesting to find out what specialty tools people have in their garages...If nothing else, it will help us create our birthday present lists... :)
For me:
The rest is just the standard assortment.
- 30" combination shear, brake and roller.
- Metal shrinker & stretcher tools. (have about 1" mouth)
- Hobart Handler 170 welder with gas.
- Drill Press
- General assortment of grinders/cutters.
Hmmmmmmmm! Sometimes hard to know what's "standard assortment" and what's "specialty".
For doing what we like to do here's a few I've got that I think are very useful, and nice to have:

I just got my new solvent tank set up last week and have already used it like five times. My other new toy is a 12 ton shop press, bought it a few months ago. I don't know how I ever got by without it. I also have a big old Marquette engine analyzer and a hand-held oscilloscope which comes in handy when working on the newer stuff. Plus the usual drill press and torch and stuff.
I have a few tools, nothing really all that special to speak of...
What is amazing though is that no matter how many tools I have it seems that the tool that gets the most use in my garage is a sanding block!!! ;)

There is pretty much every thing at my dads shop but thats mine a big huge hammer
Mine is mostly woodworking related tools as I do finish work on furniture and boat wood for a hobby. Ya know, the 20 coats of hand rubbed marine varnish on that teak or oak trim that makes a boat look soooo good!!

Got this cool old tool to check dist. cap n' stuff for cracks. pugs inta' 110 outlet w/a dial on the back and a probe out the front. Turn the dial up and stick the prob in da cap while sittin' on a metal table and probe will arc to the table thro da crack. I gotta find that thing. Aslo works great for chargn' up condensers. Chargn' condensers??? No more horseplay & I mean it!!!

I have no garage at the house I live in and all I got is a 140 peice Task Force mechanics set.
My dad bought mine for me at christmas. I think that craftsman made them cause they look exzactly like a craftsman tool only they say task force. I got metrics sockets up to 32 millameter and some larger standard sockets but I can't remember how big those go. I also got allan wrenches that are labled with a C-V like it says CV 3/16 or any other size that it is. I got wrenches and 3 rachets, I call them Small, Medium and large cause I can't remember the sizing on rachets.
Where do you find Sassafrass Tea?? Don't tell me it's from a Sassafrass Tree!!! I'd like some, but not if I gotta do all that stuff ta get it! HEHEHEQuote:

AND.... ALWAYS idle (650 rpm's in drive) yer car up and down the driveway when coming to work and going home.. ALL this for at least 6 months at my minimum wage of $5.35@hr.... hehehe
