Peter,
Basically, You can put any motor in any car as long as you have the time, the tools, and the tenacity. Know from right up front, a lot of engine swaps takes some real engineering.
I've made a 409 Chevy 47 Ford Coupe, early Chrysler Hemi 49 Ford sedan, a 430 buick powered 69 Camaro, A 400M Ford powered Fairmont wagon, a 390 Ford powered 61 Falcon, among many of my vehicles I've built over the years.
Each swap created obstacles that had to be bested. But They can be done if you are determined and use your head.
