It's been my observation that most hot rodders have more common sense then the common driver, They know their hot rods better than their wifes, girlfriends even bestfriends, as they have spent more time and money with their hot rod then the women or friends. They know when they build a huge horsepower motor that is only half the project, the other half is making it stop, and most drivers of real hot rods (pre 1949) are also the buliders and they know what it took to get to the point of driving their hot rod so they baby them, some to the point of getting them into a nice rubber room (I've been there).............But my point is, that most true hot rodders, if they have that kind of horse power, they respect it and build a car (chassis, supports, etc.) to handle that kind of toque and power.
There so much you can buy for hot rods today that parts list is just about endless so you can make any car as safe as you want or can afford....Hope this helped.

When you go to a race, car show or just go stomping thru a salvage yard, take a kid....pass on the love of cars so our sport doesn't die with the turner crowd.....
