HOLY SHEEP DIP! These 9lb monsters are LOUD!
I've got treble @ -2, base @4, rear fade to 4 and 80% (deck) is about as loud as i can stand it, and that is with amp gain set to 50%. At 90%(deck) it actually overwhelms the ear plugs, wow.

I did to much of that stuff when I was young. Load radios / loud guitars, bass etc. open headers, etc. etc. etc..
Now Tinnitus takes away much of the enjoyment. Oh well, not worth complaining as I did it to myself. Go easy on yourself.
I'm a big believer in using earplugs.
It might seem strange to see; wearing earplugs while listening to loud music, but I don't worry too much about it. Most folks are too busy looking at the car to notice me anyway.
Yup - earplugs are the key. I actually wear a set of Walker's at church during the music as it's too loud for these old tinnitus plaged ears can't take too much. Love the music, but loud is just painfull.
Probably too many years of loud activities without any protection and I find a lot of us in the 65+ bracket who have some hearing issues from racing go-karts, loud bikes, chainsaws adn then there was the jet aircraft.....
I guess this thread is done.
I sold the bird, and more or less made a $K on the whole ordeal.
