Seriously, I don't know much about how difficult swapping the late model Hemi is, but I can tell you that I have a 5.7 in my 2013 Ram half ton and I have never wanted for more power. I think it was rated for 385 HP and would probably easily go over 400 without the cats and with a little tune.

Your truck would probably be much lighter than a late model Ram, so tire shredding performance should be a slam dunk with the Hemi.
