I wish I could afford a bigger place with huge barns to store everything inside. If I don't get rid of some cars the town might take me to court again. I beat them last time but now that Poland Springs wants to suck up my water this sleepy little town is getting all shook up. They promise 300 new jobs and lots of tax $$$$$$ for the town. They already pump 300,000 gallons of groundwater a day 1/4 mile from me and label it spring water. The big tank trucks run by here all day. Theyre still going through the gears when loaded and hitting the jake brake when coming in empty. I wan't to move further out of town. Two more years and I own this place. Maybe I can sell to one of those 300 new employees.
But it's not entirely their fault that I'm selling out. I can collect things much faster than I can restore them. I have a few late models that I got for parts. I'm going to strip them and junk the remains. I'm hoping that will allow me to keep all the good stuff behind the shop.
Scott, the guy in the red shirt needed the bumpers and the hood that's sticking through the windshield of the coupe. He also needed the nice chrome grille that I had. His 41 will look much nicer this year. He loved the coupe body so there's a chance he might do something with it. If I didn't know Scott I would have put them on ebay and made a profit but I sold them at a "break even" price.
I have two more old Fords that need good homes. A 59 Ranchero and a 60 Falcon. I gotta get pictures and offer them to the guys here before I go to ebay." Im gone'
Dammit, another good ol boy gone. Condolence to the family. RIP Mike
