Hood Prop
Anyone know who makes this hood prop? Saw it at Pete & Jakes Open House, but the guy said it's been too long since he bought it to recall where he found it.... I like it a lot better than the wide rod that clamps to the radiator support rods, but haven't found it yet.

Roger, while your at the NSRA show this weekend, find 'em on a car ask permission to measure 'em, snap some pics while your measuring 'em with a tape and save it, Doesn't look that hard a little bit of lathe work, aluminum rod and plastic dip and we will have you in good shape. I measured my hood props there one year, most fellas know exactly what we're going through and are willing to help. If it doesn't rain on Saturday and I see your car I will yell at you. Best of Luck MatthyjWhy is mine so big and yours so small, Chrysler FirePower

Thanks for that, Matthyj! I'll look, but this was the first one I've ever seen. Hopefully there are a bunch out there and I've just missed them...Roger

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Uncle Bob just stole my thunder! I showed my picture to a guy at Gearheads, and he said, "Wow, those are cool! Who sells them?" But then I stopped by another booth, where it was a guy over 60 and his wife running things. Told him my story, including that Carriage Works simply wished me well and said that they hadn't had those for 15 years or more. He said, "Well, Carriage Works may have sold them, but Carolina Customs makes them." He said he used to stock them, but dropped them a few years back. I confirmed that CC still has them, but day late, dollar short with Uncle Bob around....
So Don, was that one set shipped to you in OK, and the second set shipped to me in KS that you ordered?Roger

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
