Bought me a 1947 International Pick Up today.
Can't wait to start working on it.
I'll have to get some photo's tomorrow, it was dark by the

Very cool... Enjoy!
Cool! I learned to drive in one of those.
Very nice! You sure don't see them on the roads very often.
Here's a link a short video of my new toy.

Looks to be in very good condition Kurt!!! What a great find!!
Thanks Dave no rust in the cab and has had a new floor welded in.
It's a 1989 351V8 caddy motor trany and frame with disc brakes all the way around.
They told me it won a couple car show's and I started laughing, and said when in 1947???
HE! HE! HE! I just can't help it sometimes.

Is there a chart or forum where I can find out what exact caddy motor is in this truck???
I learned to drive in a '46! That was a loooooong time ago. {:-) About '64.
Anyone know the best way to ID a caddy motor.
Where do I look for a ID??? on them.
Thanks Kurt

A read.
'60something to '85. The ID somewhere between intake man & trans mount
right by the oil pressure sending unit.... From where They say to look.
There is a pic showing it, but so sorry, IDK how to parselink!!! :-(
Hope this helps
Another source, one that Tech references often - http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/w...gine_knowledge
Thanks T-Top& Rspears, I was told it was a 89 caddy motor.
But I was also told it was a 351 and when I called the parts store
they said there is no such animal.

Neat, from the sounds of it there are a lot of folks (including me) with International truck stories.
Can you post a picture of the engine, at least we might be able to narrow down the engine family.
.
Kurt, '89 was in the years when Cadillac was using a lot of non-Cadillac engines, wasn't it? A quick scan of the Wiki articles points to several different engines, like GM 350's, some from Olds, some from Buick.....
You are exactly right Roger.
I went out looking at the numbers on the intake manifold and the firing order.
I found these numbers 411990 D1CB and a firing order of 18436572.
The googled them and found the same numbers on the Classic Oldsmobile site.
The numbers go to a 1977 350cid Oldsmobile motor or intake.
170 HP and 275 Torque at 2400 rpm's. 8.1 compression.
I can see some pop up pistons in it's future
Here's what I read on the link below.
Thanks Kurt

The nice thing about the little 350 Olds engines is that a 403 or 455 bolts right in place. :D
.
and possibly the 500 caddie
