Nice looking, Milner, my wife and I were talking just the other day about those sign painters I used to see in the offices downtown Houston back in the early sixties. They used a lot of gold leaf paint and would paint the person/company name on the back of the glass door in reverse. Probably a lost art now?

Very nice work Milner!
Em, it seems like most places don't want to pay for a quality window painting either. I know a couple of guys that used to do it and they say places think it takes 5 minutes and that's all they want to pay for. Crazy times.

That's a great look on the car. A very nice job of it too!

You guys are right. With labor rates being what they are, it adds up quickly. I like to think I'm paying for a persons knowledge and skill, not just for the job.
It took me about 16 hours for this job. About 4 hours cutting out the letters with a sharp x-acto knife and then about 12 hours sanding and refinishing the kitchen table because I forgot to use a cutting board underneath the work, lol.

Looks good!
Is it just me, or does it seem to be 'uncool' for Joe Hot-rodder to paint names on cars now?
Used to be once that pretty well all cars were named.
Ours all are . . .

Right now what I'm calling my car, it isn't fitting in a "proper society"..

my late friend named his 52 Ford "Little Miss Carriage" back in the 60s and I thought those Church Ladies in our small Suthern Baptist town were gonna string him up - - - - let's see now how should you spell "Mello Vanillo"?

I expected to have to pay when I had the doors on my truck done. I knew it would take some one with skill and a steady hand. I surely didn't want it to lok like a kid with a crayola did it. Heck, I can handle that.
