Bob, the top looks really nice! At least you were able to get the pieces fixed and over come that hurdle.

The picture below might fool some, we're getting very close to having this thing wrapped up. Still a few small details to work out on hood fitment, paint the front top bow black so it doesn't reflect in the windshield chrome, and a few more things like that, but at least the "get 'er done" check list is down to one page now. Might just have a hot rod summer yet!

I just realized I owe Mike (hotrod46) and Deuce4dad apologies for not answering their efi questions, hadn't seen those, sorry. On the MSD unit specifically I came to an appreciation of it through my buddy in Vegas, Jim Shelton. He has a '32 roadster that he's had on the road for close to 10 years and drives it, a lot, he's getting near 100k miles the last I talked to him. 3 or 4 years ago MSD tapped him to field test their then new efi system since they knew he'd give it a good all around usage. By now he's got somewhere around 35k miles on it (iirc) and still loves it. The only changes since installation he's done are software updates and to add the fuel return line. Initially they had installed it without the return, which MSD has designed it to do either, but Jim feels it works better with the return system.

One of the major appeals to me about the system is the control module mounted to the throttle body which eliminates a whole bunch of bulky wiring typical of efi systems. There is a fairly compact wire harness of 7 wires that go to the tuning module connector (mine installed under the dash), and to ox and coolant sensors. I don't have an MSD box to control timing, just going with the vacuum advance on the MSD dist, so I won't get the full Monty of performance parameters but so far (admittedly few miles) it's performed well...............better once we found a slight vacuum leak Ain't debugging fun?

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, it's always nice to know others appreciate the outcome.....................................well, except Mike (the other one) wanting to wee wee on it.................

One of the drawbacks of delegating the final phase of construction to someone else is not doing the first dialed in drive. I got this today from the young man, Greg, who's helping me out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOpv...be&app=desktop

    Tomorrow I get my turn..........

Looks about perfect! Great stance, great color, fantastic fit & finish and it sounds good, too! Gonna turn some heads in that one, Bob.
