Is that cool or what? Growing up I knew a man who owned a body shop adn he had a '53 (not supercharged) but that was his baby and he had painted it very nicely with ghost flames. I remember it was a beautiful car and rode like a dream.

That is very cool! It's even better that the car still exists today. How many people got the option to have a brand new car specially altered and built from the company internally like this? I bet not much. Thanks for sharing this.
Yes, thanks so much Mello as that is the sort of story I would of missed but thanks to you for thinking of us down under. What an amazing automobile and I would be rapt to own a stock '53 Caddy Convertible without the added blower but what a car that is.
It's hard to imagine an OEM building a one-off custom performance vehicle for a special customer, regardless who he's personal friends with.... Pretty cool that it happened in '53.
