    Hinged Dash

    Hi everyone,

Here's a trick I did 35 years ago when I made a new dash (wood) for my chevy. I hinged the bottom so it would flip down. After all these years of adding and subtracting electrical stuff, it was an accident waiting to happen. I ordered a nice wiring kit and am now doing the whole car the right way. I'm sure glad I designed the dash this way many years ago, it's so easy, especially at my age, lol. 1-Original dash when I got the car. 2- Hinged dash I built with the chevy logo. 3- So easy to work on.

    Have a great day,

    Milner

    Sharpmark,

Glad to hear your upholstery in your 34 olds is similar to mine, do you have a picture of it on the forum? Although the new upholstery fads are eye catching, I still like the old 70's thick naugahyde style. Mine is still nice and soft after all these years. I also did the outside top with it.

Yes, the 8-track still works. You won't believe how many teenagers ask me "what's that?"

    Take Care,

    Milner

I noticed that the car lost a pedal sometime in it's journey through your ownership. Nice car and I agree, the upholstery is great.

I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.
