It compliments the house nicely, matching the roof line and extensions exactly, and will be a boost to your property value because of the attention to detail you put into the design, and then the execution of the build. I've not seen your house so cannot comment upon whether the two complement each other or not; but I'm prepared to take Roger's word for it.

Totally off-topic: our house has a board outside which reads 'Rock Bottom', and the top gateway (which gives access to the Cabbage Patch and the flat in my main shed,) has a board which reads 'The Last Resort.'
