    You can make your own voltage regulator circuit for about $.50 each.

    1 - Standard Regulator 6 Volt 1.5 Amp 3 Pin 2+ Tab TO-220fp = $.35
    1 - 10 uF 50 Volt Radial Capacitor = $.12
    1 - 1 uF 50 Volt Radial Capacitor = $.09
