A while ago I got a PM from a member here asking if I really owned the cars in my profile since I never post about any of them. I of course responded in the affirmative. As further proof is the first drive (yesterday) of my 69 GT500 fastback after being apart the last three years.

Wow! Didn't know you'd been able to focus on the Mustang, Bill. It sounds great, and thanks for posting the video! Any plans for an informal photo shoot, or is it ready for that yet?
Spare time has been tough to come by since we shut the shop down in October. The car was the last thing out of the building the morning of the absolute auction, took it out painted, but in 100's of pieces. Bolted the majority of the body together and did not touch it until recently. Been working on the mechanicals, the paint has not been buffed or cut since it was sprayed, have not even done final alignment of the fenders and hood yet, but the car is 100% street legal, covered in dust, and just out for it's maiden voyage to check and see how it is running. My goal is to have it done by the end of August. At that time we'll have to decide whether to keep it, or sell it, on that subject only time will tell.Quote:

Car has a Historic tag (IE: permanent registration no expiration) on it. I could drive it without doors, glass, fenders, headlights (need taillight/brake lights), heck even an exhaust system if I wanted to and still not get in trouble.Quote:

Oh, Watkins Glen is my fav, also. It is so steeped in history, plus the track with all it's turns and elevation changes are almost impossible to beat. I haven't driven on it for a couple years, but Bill, maybe we should have a CHR Watkins Glen Reunion Party and we can meet in person. My "track car" had 200 less horsepower last time I was there ...although I'm not so sure my driving abilities have kept pace with my horsepower growth ;) Btw, since New Jersey Motorsports Park opened I feel like I have a great track 3 hours closer to home.
