The scrap yard down the road has a 39 ford truck in pretty good shape, nearly complete, wooden flat bed, looks bigger than a half ton. It's already sold, $800. I think it went cheap. I would have jumped on it.

find the buyer and offer him a "small" profit ???????
I had to go look up images to jog my memory... that would be a COOL ride to street rod!! And 8 hundred was cheap if it was mostly there..
you bet, Mike, I knew a feller back in the 70s that had one and those grills, when chromed, are the cat's meow
they were so different from anything prior to that - - - maybe that's where the idea for the Edsel grill came from LOL

It's still there. I think they sold it cheap, what say you?
It's "mostly there", but there's a lot of work to bring it back to pristine. I'd say $800 to $1000 is about right, but then I don't have any hint of Barrett-Jackson Syndrome.
I can picture that painted RED going down the road as a flat bed hauler ..I'd give ya 8 and I'm a chevy guy
Considering our prices here, that was cheap.....just a glance..
