To echo DaveW and Bug, at most of the big "gatherings" there are one or two guys who sell "historic titles and license plates", but they are careful to advertise them "For Display Only" because applying a specific title to a vehicle different from the original is fraud, and the penalties for it vary. Around here it includes the vehicle being impounded by the State until the owner gets his paperwork "mess" straightened out, and if his "mess" involves stamping a frame with bogus numbers they can destroy the vehicle. May not happen, but that's the law. The SEMA Action Network has compiled the rules for getting vintage, collectible, custom and scratch built vehicles registered and titled for each state. Here's the link to their information for Washington - http://www.bipac.net/sema/TagTitleToolbox_WA.pdf Good luck with your process.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.
